The Philippines is situated within the so-called typhoon belt and is visited by no less than 20 typhoons annually. In the monsoon season, rains, floods, landslides, and storm surges are not infrequent. The country also lies in the Pacific Ring of Fire.
As soon as disaster strikes, our emergency response mechanisms go into action. Time saved means lives saved, so our team makes sure it is ready to go, anytime. We may not be in the front line, but we try to do our part to help alleviate the suffering of our fellow men even if it’s just a so-called ‘drop in the bucket.’ During the aftermath of Typhoon Ondoy, for instance, we conducted several relief assistance operations in various towns and provinces.
